Depending on the treatment area, topical numbing cream or lidocaine will be used prior to injection to keep you as comfortable as possible. Multiple injections will be needed to properly place the product. There will be minor swelling at each injection site however this will subside over 20-30 minutes. The duration for the injections can vary greatly. Most areas can be injected in 20-30 minutes however an attention to detail is necessary and more time may be required. After undergoing a filler procedure, a few days will be needed prior to evaluating the result. Immediately after the procedure you will have swelling from the injection sites that will peak 24-48 hours later and then the size/volume will gradually decline until it stabilizes within 2-5 days. It takes two full weeks for the product to completely settle.
